Gardner and Fanny Church
are moving to Cape Cod. Gardner slips in and out of senility and
Fanny works hard to keep them afloat. Their daughter, Mags, comes
home to assist and paint their portrait. Mags triumphs in the
end as Fanny and Gadner step through the frame and become a work
of art. "A radiant, loving and zestfully humorous play..."
- Time. "A theatrical family portrait that has the shimmer
and depth of Renoir portraits." - The New York Times.
