“Greater Tuna” is a comedy about the third smallest town in Texas , named Tuna, and its crazy citizens, where the Lion's club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The action takes place over the course of one day, beginning in the morning at local radio station OKKK as it goes on the air. By the time they sign-off at the end of the day, you will meet twenty-one of Tuna’s eccentric citizens, all played by only two actors, Susie McCarthy and Michael-Anthony Nozzi, who portray men, women, children, and animals with over 47 fast costume changes! Susie McCarthy is seen regularly in Kentwood Players productions, most recently as Phyllis in “Follies” and Angela Prysock/Princess Puffer in “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” Michael-Anthony Nozzi has performed at Palos Verdes Playhouse as Elwood P. Dowd in “ Harvey ” and Richard Sherman in “The Seven Year Itch.” At the Long Beach Playhouse, he wowed them as Sister Bette in “And Then There was Nun!” |
