General Meeting
The General Meeting this month
will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, 8:00 P.M. at
the theater.
Workshop
Our February Workshop is canceled. Instead, Workshop
Chairperson Gert Nord will be hosting an Enhanced
Meeting Hospitality. She will be most ably assisted
with the endeavor by our own Linda Metz and Sheridan
Cole.
The Sunshine Boys

The Sunshine Boys opened January
14, 2005 and will close on February 19, 2005
Calia Mintzer, and Charlotte
Lee Schildkret, producers of The Sunshine Boys would
like to thank all the Kentwood Players who have worked
on the show and are still working on the show. The expression
"It Takes a Village" is certainly appropriate
to our productions.
Our set was designed by Sheldon Metz, and decorated
by Sheldon Metz. Lighting design was provided to the
show by Tom Brophey and sound by Susan Stengl, who performed
the song and wrote the music for an original poem by
Sheldon Metz. Sheridan Cole did costume design. The
stage manager is Shari Barrett and she is assisted by
Alicja Sprague. Script supervisors were Barbara McMurray
and Hilary Fitzsimmons. The Booth crew is Paul Craft,
Jim Crawford, and Melvin Miller. Graphic design and
lobby design were provided by Michael Cohen. Our master
builder was Frank Olivadoti and Scot Renfro assisted
Sheldon Metz with set decoration. Properties were handled
by Barbara Haberman. Maria Cohen assisted Sheridan Cole
with costumes and our seamstresses were Julia Maggs,
Franczeska Angel, Barbara Brophey, Yvonne Kainoa, and
Jeanne Spain. Our wig specialist for the show was Elizabeth
Dahl and publicity photos were taken by Shellee James.
Audition assistants included Shari Barrett, Hilary Fitzsimmons,
Gert Nord and Jeanne Spain.
Peripheral Vision
- This one act play for seniors, directed by August
Vivirito, opened February 12 and will close February
19, 2005. It was one of the winners of a one-act play
contest at the Attic Theater. There will be 2 performances
only.

The show is set in New York,
1972. On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor
Robert contemplates his unmarried state. In vignette
after hilarious vignette, we are introduced to "those
good and crazy people," his married friends, as
Robert weighs the pros and cons of married life. In
the end, he realizes being alone is "alone, not
alive." Think 70's, think New York, think whatever
you like, but come on down and audition!!!!
Auditions will be held Saturday
March 12th, 12-3 and Sunday March 13 7-9, callbacks
TBD. Please prepare 16 bars of music to show range (no
Webber please), audition accompanist will be provided.
Please bring sheet music in appropriate key. No taped
music or a cappella. Be ready to read from the script.
No movement till callbacks. Looking for strong actor/singers,
all types, looks and ethnicities encouraged to audition.

Event of the 2004/2005 Season
Dinner Dance Chairperson Calia
Mintzer would like everyone to be sure to put the Dinner
Dance date on your new 2005 calendar. This season's
event will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2005, with
a live dance band, rumored to play all requests!

she and Barbara Jonides McMurry will bring the finished
copies of Monty Ash's Kentwood Tributes to the February
meeting. To get your copy, bring your check, made out
the charity of your choice, in a stamped and addressed
envelope to exchange for your copy of the book. DO NOT
