City of Angels:
Director Victoria Miller, producers Ed & De Cotter,
and music director Dean Mora and the cast and crew are
enjoying an exciting run. City of Angels will
run through February 21, 2004. Be sure to come see this
new, intriguing musical. It's not too late, make your
reservations today.
Barefoot in the Park:
Neil Simon's comedy is being directed by Larry Jones
and produced by Carmen Lynne. Barefoot in the Park
opens March 12 and plays through April 17. The following
is the cast:
Corie - Katharine Beauregard Paul - Jamie Alexander
Mrs. Banks - Michelle Rosen Victor Velasco - Dave Parke
Telephone Guy - Hal Ashby Delivery Man - Sheldon Cohen

A Midsummer Night's Dream:
Director Rob Duval and Producers Ed and De Cotter will
be holding auditions at the theater Saturday, March
13, from 10am to 4pm and Monday, March 15, from 6pm
to 10pm. Sides will be provided, no accents necessary.
Thesus/Oberon: Duke of Athens and King of the
Fairies, age 30 to 50
Hippolyta/Titania: Queen of the Amazons and Queen
of the Fairies, age 30 to 50
Egeus: Hermia's father age 40 to 65
Lysander and Demetrius: young lovers, age 16
to 25
Helena and Hermia: young lovers, age 16 to 25
Nick Bottom/Pyramus: loud and outspoken, age
30 to 60
Francis Flute/Thisbe: age 25 to 50
Peter Quince/Prologue: age 25 to 50
Tom Snout/Wall: age 25 to 60
Snug/Lion: age 35 to 65
Robin Starveling/Moonshine: age 25 to 65

Performances are May 7 through June 12. There will be
no performance on Mother's Day.
This and that (that shouldn't go unread): We
are looking for a new Box Office worker. Laurie will
be retiring at the end of February to enjoy time with
friends and family. Call Box Office Chairperson Julia
Maggs if you know of someone who might be interested.
Last month Gert Nord provided hospitality and in honor
of her late husband, Irv, she donated the cost of the
evening's refreshments to the theatre. We are in dire
need of Season Subscribers! Can you think of a better
gift than a season of plays for someone you care about?
Buy them now before the price increases! Members can
now earn activity points for each season subscription

Nominating Committee:
The following five people have agreed to serve on the
Nominating Committee: Margie Bates, Gail Bernardi, Hal
Fisher, Bill Harred and Phil Massi.
Dinner Dance: This year's
celebration will be held at the Elks Club. The cost
will be $32. Invitations will go out in May. Sheldon
Metz will be in charge of the entertainment.
Membership News: Membership
pins will be awarded at the February meeting. Receiving
ten year pins will be Monica Castagnasso, Lauren Jarvis,
Lee Polack, Barbara McMurray, Treva Merritt, and Kathi
Thompson. Gail Bernardi will be awarded her 25 year
card! Come down and congratulate them in person. If
your active membership lapses, beginning May 1 dues
for inactive members will increase to $54! It's not
too late to earn your six points to remain active or
attain active membership. There are still two months
left. If you're not sure of your point standing, call
Membership Chairperson Gert Nord (310) 315-5717. Also,
Catherine Rahm is gathering e-mail addresses of Kentwood

We'll start with good news...Jeannette Lyons is doing
much better, so well she's going to be in a play! The
Brickeys are proud parents again. Valerie gave birth
to Max David Brickey at 10:48 AM January 29. He came
into this world by c-section 19 1/2 inches long and
8lbs. 8 oz. Jaz Davison invites you to celebrate Valentine's
Day a day early by coming to the Knightsbridge Theatre
around 11:30 PM for a rose, champagne, hors d'oeuvers,
and the 30th Anniversary Production of The Rocky
Horror Show. Tickets are $35. Call and make your

you. The regular run begins 2/14 Saturdays at 8:00 and
Sundays at 6:00 PM. Rob Duval will direct Bat Boy:
The Musical starring Alec Owen in the title role.

T.L.C. Needed - Our beloved
Jonas Rimson had a stroke on October 6th (one day before
he and Wilma celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary).
He's in a nursing home and would happily welcome any
cards and letters which can be sent to their home at
4271 Central Ave., McKinleyville, CA 95519.
On a sad note: On January
13 Christina Croft, Joyce Croft's mother, passed away
at the age of 106. Joyce was able to spend time with
her prior to her death and had a good visit. Our thoughts
and prayers are with Joyce at this time.
