Hospitality: Linda Parke and Tom Hickman are providing the treats this month.
Workshop: Sheridan Cole is directing Elizabeth Bouton and Aileen Scott in "The Way of All Fish" from Power Plays by Elaine May and Alan Arkin.

The Matchmaker: This farce, which later became the musical Hello Dolly, is directed by Bill Goldyn and produced by Dave and Linda Parke. If you haven't seen this priceless comedy hurry down...it closes this Saturday, March 12.

Don't Dress for Dinner: This witty comedy being ably directed by Kathleen Chapin and produced by De Cotter will run from May 9, 2003 - June 14, 2003. Work Sunday is this weekend, April 13. The following is the cast and crew:

Kiss Me Kate: This delightful musical to be directed by Max Heldring Stormes and produced by Calia Mintzer and Charlotte Lee Schildkret for July/August. Auditions will be Saturday May 10 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM and Sunday May 11 from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. (While you're marking your calendars, Work Sunday will be June 15!) All applicants must be able to sing and dance except for the role of Harrison Howell. A knowledge of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew should be helpful for all roles other than Hattie, Paul, the two Gunmen, and Harrison Howell. Most roles will play multiple parts. The Supporting Cast: This comedy by George Furth is slated to be directed by Gail Bernardi for November/December 2003. Although the board of directors has approved the selection, we have yet to receive the rights. Should we not get them, another play will be submitted for board approval.

This and that (that shouldn't go unread): House Manager Shellee James has had peepholes installed in the front doors. Roof repairs will be made soon. The parking area will be paved sometime between April 19 and April 27 courtesy of Carl Price. Remember, you must have your membership ticket with you the first time you are seeing a production. Without it you will be charged admission (which will be refunded upon receipt of your ticket).

Here, There, and Everywhere: Blood Brothers is playing at Knightsbridge L.A. at least through May 11. Show times are Saturdays at 5:00 PM and Sundays at 6:00 PM. For reservations call (626) 440-0821. Aileen Marie Scott will be playing Chloe in Lips Together/Teeth Apart at the Costa Mesa Playhouse through April 27 Thursdays - Sundays. Tracy Janel (West Side Story) and her husband Dan welcomed daughter Renee Kaylise Rainsbury on December 31, 2002. Mary Steelsmith's play, "ISAAC, I am" won the Ronald Williams Playwriting Award at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. And you can catch Mary playing the role of Elizabeth in Angel Street at the Palos Verdes Players between April 25 and May 31. Also in the cast is Stephen Alan Carver as Rough. Jaz Davison's production of Edward III, the Shakespeare you've never seen, opened at the Knightsbridge Pasadena and plays (at least) through April 27. According to Jaz the actors are great, it's timely, and it's traditional Shakespeare with a bloody second half. Call for reservations and ticket information (626) 440-0821. The incomparable Mel Oshins is finishing a run in Oy Vay, the Musical in Palm Springs at Temple Isaiah on April 13. Jeff Wallach is choreographing a production of HMS Pinafore at the Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks. It opened April 4 for a five week run. For information call the theatre (805) 495-3715. Vicky and Rocky Miller are grandparents again! Milo Mason Miller was born to Travis and Kristin Miller on April 3. Two days later the senior Millers performed in the annual Footlight production. This year Vicky wrote, produced, choreographed and directed the gala. Not to be left out of the family festivities, daughter Kristen recently filmed a pilot in Vancouver for Fox called No Place Like Home (Will She Spies be willing to share their star??) James Manley Green portrays Tom in John Patrick's A Bad Year for Tomatoes at Cyprus Civic Theatre in Orange County May 2 - May 25. Sally Pierce just turned 95!! See Roster Info for her new address.

Standing Rules Change: The standing rule change from last month was voted on and accepted at the March meeting.
