Forty Carats: By the time you receive this bulletin the final
curtain will just about have fallen on this comedy directed by
Sheridan Cole and produced by Rocky Miller.
Sheridan and Rocky have been very pleased with the response
to Forty Carats. “The
cast and crew have been swell to work with and the audiences have
been charmingly entertained.
Special thanks to Patty Butler who stepped into the role
of Mrs. Latham on April 4th and 5th. Thanks also to Dave Parke for helping transport
some stage furniture and to all the Kentwood members who have
been so supportive of this production.”
The Boys Next Door: Opening May 3 and playing through June 8, this
lively play was written by Tom Griffin and is being directed by
Charlotte Lee Schildkret and produced by Calia Mintzer and Lee
Polak. The cast includes:

Musical Concert Series 2002: The next show in this series is Blame It
on the Movies , music and lyrics by Billy Barnes, compiled
and conceived by Ron Able, Billy Barnes, and David Galligan.
It’s to be directed by Vicki Miller and produced by Rocky
Miller with musical direction by Anoush Kerovkian. The cast includes: Elizabeth Bouton, Patricia Butler, Ben Lupejkis,
Melanie Marshall, Ryan McCormick, Cathryn Rahm, Aileen-Marie Scott,
and Jeff Wallach. It opens
Sunday May 12 (Mother’s Day) and plays the following three Sundays
through June 2 at 7:00 PM.

The radial arm saw in the
workshop is not working. It
will either be repaired or replaced as soon as possible. The annual Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday, June 22 at
the Proud Bird. Since
that’s a night to get spiffed up, Maria Cohen encourages all the
men out there who need to rent/buy a tuxedo for this or any othere
event go to Friar Tux and tell them you’re a member of Kentwood
Players. They have been
more than generous with their donations to plays and a special
thank you is in order!

There, and Everywhere: Barbara Boone will be
appearing in Funny Girl at the Upland Grove Theater through
April 21 playing Friday and Saturday nights and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Jaz Davison does not know the meaning of idle.
She is appearing as Little Buttercup in Pinaforetta,
the half-hour curtain raiser for The Pirates of Penzance
in which she plays one of the Major General’s daughters.
Performances are Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00
PM at the Knightsbridge now through April 21.
The Knightsbridge is located at 1944 Riverside Drive.

(This play also features direction by Gabrielle de Cuir,
choreography by Vicki Miller, and a performance by Don Schlosserman
as the General.) And for those who missed Jaz in A Month
in the Country it will be re-opening April 26 and playing
through May 26 with performances Fridays at 8:00 and Sundays at
noon at the Knightsbridge. Jaz
and her son, Casey (along with Don Schlosserman) will be appearing
in the Knightsbridge production of Assassins which runs
May 4 - June 9. And finally,
four is the magic number, Jaz will be directing Much Ado About
Nothing (set in Las Vegas 1963) for the Knightsbridge Pasadena
Theater July 12 - August 18.

Alfonso Freedman has been seen quite a bit on TV lately. He’s appeared on Providence, West Wing, E.R.,
and most recently on The Practice.
Abbott Rosenberg had an article published in the column
“My Turn” in the Daily Breeze on Wednesday, March 13.
It’s titled “My Turn: A friendship based on an inauspicious
meeting.” Finally, Rocky
and Vicki Miller just sang and danced their way through the Footlighters’
charity show held this year at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
