This is the evening we have our holiday party following the meeting.

Ruling Class:  By the time you read this, the final curtain of Ruling Class will be falling. This Peter
Barnes comedy directed by Jaz Davison and produced by De Cotter plays through December 15.

The Elephant Man:  Sheldon Metz is directing this drama by Bernard Pomerancen and Calia Mintzer and Bob Sherman are producing it.  The Elephant Man  plays January 11 through February 16, 2002.  The cast:

Work Sunday is this Sunday,  December 16.

Forty Carats:  This classic comedy by Jay Allen will be directed by Sheridan Cole and produced by Rocky Miller.  It will open March 8 and play through April 13, 2002.  Auditions will be held Saturday, January 12 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Sunday, January 13 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM.  The following is the character breakdown:

   
Ann Stanley:  Lead.  40 successful real-estate agent who, after two unsuccessful marriages is smitten with a young man
Peter Latham:  22 smart, mature, charming, sincere, and sexy
 Mrs. Adams Older, prospective house buyer, but really a “looky-loo”
Mrs. Margolin Middle-aged, Ann’s secretary (think Thelma Ritter)
Billy Boylan:  43 Ann’s ex-husband, established actor, but mostly in B movies, witty, lovable, but rather helpless
Eddy Edwards:  45 confident, friendly, uncomplicated and rich - a widower looking for a wife
Maud Hayes Ann’s spunky mother, opinionated and loving to both her daughter and granddaughter
Trina:  17 Ann’s attractive daughter with lots of energy and a mind of her own
Mr. & Mrs. Latham 40’s, Peter’s elegant, rich parents.  Mr. Latham is a bit full of himself, Mrs. Latham has more underneath the surface, warm and witty
Pat young, good looking pro golfer, flirts mercilessly
   

Philadelphia Story:  This timeless comedy by Philip Barry was approved for the 2002-2003 season to be directed by Kirk Larsen.

Noises Off:  This farcical comedy was approved by the board for March/April 2003 to be directed by Bill Goldyn.

Sweeney Todd will be produced by Michelle Rosen and Jeff Wallach.  The musical director is Anoush N. Kavoukian, and the technical director is Richard Potthoff.                               

Westchester Holiday Parade:  December 9 was a successful outing for many Kentwood members as they participated in the Westchester Holiday Parade.  The following people participated in the event:

Beth Anderson, Barbara Boone, Maria Cohen (and daughters Lisa & Anna and    friend Andrea Centanni), Sheldon & Arlene Cohen, Hal Fisher, Julia Maggs, Phil Massi, Linda Parke, Sally Pierce, Lee Polak, Richard Potthoff, Dorothy Rochlin (in a wheelchair), Charlotte Lee Schildkret, Adina Silo, Ron & Judy Wisansky (with granddaughter Jade), and Rudy & Dorothea Toepfer.  Tom Brophey provided banners for the car and wheelchair, Maria Cohen coordinated the costumes, Arlene Cohen made and coordinated the hats, Alison Mattiza designed the flyers that were handed out, and   Rocky & Vicki Miller opened their home for a post-parade party.

Here, There, and Everywhere:  Lizzi Luna Bartels will be appearing in Sockmuffin the Elf at the Globe Playhouse opening December 7.  (Fridays - 7:30 PM, Saturdays 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM, and Sundays - 2:00 PM)The Globe is located at 1107 N. Kings Rd., West Hollywood. For tickets call (323)655-TKTS.  Helen Geller was a guest star on E.R. on November 8 and Sheldon Cohen will be appearing on E.R. on January 3 as Icicle Andy.  Jenny Martin (I Remember Mama) will be appearing at the Morgan Wixon as Connie in Come Blow Your Horn.  It opens January 11.  Ed and De Cotter just returned from a whirl wind trip to London where they saw Bloodbrothers three times (taking copious notes) and The Royal Family with Judy Dench.
